Mike Pakaluk, Trumpets
Mike Pakaluk was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, and received his B.M. in Music Education at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut, as a student of Jay Lichtmann. Mike continued his education to receive an M.M. in Trumpet Performance at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque as a student of Jeff Piper and Jon Dante. Mike is the Instrumental Music Director at Lynbrook High School in San José, California.
Mike has played as a substitute/extra trumpet in the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, the Albuquerque Philharmonia, the San Luis Obispo Symphony Pops and the Lompoc (California) Pops Orchestra. He also played trumpet with the Central City Swing Band in Santa Maria, California. Mike currently plays cornet with the Mission Peak Brass Band in Fremont and trumpet with the Damon Castillo Band in San Luis Obispo.
Mike is the newest member of the Menlo Brass Quintet, having joined in January of 2012.
